1: Toolbar
The header at the top of every Forsta Plus application houses a Global Navigation drop-down menu and a toolbar. The Global Navigation drop-down allows you to quickly navigate to other Forsta Plus applications. The toolbar, which varies slightly according to the application, allows you to select some basic options (such as for the CATI Supervisor), access notifications, obtain help and manage your user settings.
For the CATI Supervisor, the header and toolbar is as follows:
The Global Navigation drop-down menu allowing you to quickly switch to another Forsta Plus application you are licensed to use. The list of applications are grouped according to function. Selecting Home from the list takes you to the Forsta Plus Home Page (see 2 below). This drop-down is available across all Forsta Plus applications.
Click the platform Home Page link to go to the Home Page for Forsta Plus. You can access all the Forsta Plus applications that you are licensed to use on the Home Page. The Home Page also includes a list of recently worked on surveys, and News (announcements related to any Forsta Plus application or application update). This home page link is the same as selecting Home from the Global Navigation drop-down menu.
The name of the Forsta Plus application the user is currently logged in to.
The Surveys drop-down menu allows quick access to the Surveys List and any recent surveys which contain interviews that had their extended status changed recently (go to Changing the Survey for more information).
The Call Center shows the name of the current call center. When clicked it opens the list of call centers.
The Company shows the name of the current company. When clicked, the button opens a drop-down list of companies to which you can switch (that is, you can "jump" to working in a selected company).
The name of the CATI Supervisor area you are currently working in.
The User Feedback opens the User Feedback form which allows you to send feedback to Forsta.
The Global Search enables faster location of Surveys, Interviewers & Interview Groups, Schedules, and Extended Status groups. When you type two or more characters in the search field, it will dynamically search for applicable results. The results appear under the search input field. Select a result to open the applicable area of the application to work with the selected result.
The Notifications button opens a list of notifications. The red number overlaid on this button indicates the number of unread notifications (if more than 9, '9+' is displayed). Clicking on the notification icon shows a list of notifications with those unread shown in bold text. Click on a notification summary to read the notification in full (with the option to delete). Some of the notifications displayed here can be configured (go to Settings for more information).
The Help button provides a drop-down list for obtaining help with CATI, including a link to the CATI Supervisor Knowledge Base and API information.
The User Menu button opens a sub-menu containing:
The link that takes the user to the user profile page. The user profile is created on initial registration. It holds information about the user’s name, email address, preferred language, and a number of system settings. Each time you log in to Forsta Plus your profile will be accessed and the settings stored in your profile will be used to set up the system specifically for you. You can go into your profile at any time and edit the majority of the settings as you require;
The Log Out link. This logs the user out of the CATI Supervisor system. If the user is logged in to other Forsta Plus products, they stay logged in to these products.
2: Navigation Menu
The Navigation menu is located under the Forsta Plus Toolbar (the header frame of the CATI Supervisor module window). The Navigation menu groups items according to their types. Some items in this menu directly display a grid populated with records.
Some items in the menu have dropdown menus. Choosing an item in the dropdown menu then displays a grid populated by records.
The items in the Activity Views dropdown menu open in separate windows. These menu items have the icon to indicate this.
